Common Questions
Do you take insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with a detailed receipt (often called a superbill) that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Do I need a diagnosis before?
Many individuals seek support simply to better understand their thoughts, emotions, or life circumstances, and therapy can be helpful regardless of whether a diagnosis is present.
How do I find the right therapist?
A good starting point is to consider what you are hoping to get out of therapy, whether that’s support with a specific concern or more general personal growth. From there, you may want to look at factors such as a therapist’s areas of specialization, therapeutic approach, availability, and whether you feel comfortable with their communication style.
It’s also appropriate to schedule an initial consultation or first session to gauge the fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of effective treatment, so it is okay to take time finding someone you feel comfortable working with. If it doesn’t feel like the right match, you are always able to explore other options.
How often do I need to see a therapist?
The frequency and length of therapy can vary depending on your individual needs, goals, and preferences. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as this provides consistency and allows for steady progress. Over time, sessions may be spaced out (for example, biweekly or monthly) as appropriate.
In terms of overall duration, some individuals engage in therapy for a short-term period focused on a specific concern, while others choose longer-term support for ongoing growth and deeper exploration. This is something that can be discussed and adjusted collaboratively based on what feels most helpful for you.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes, teletherapy services are available to Colorado residents. Sessions are conducted through a secure and confidential video platform, allowing you to access care from the comfort of your own space.
